Riddler!! What is your facination for a full moon? Does it affect you?Well Jaz, fascination is the right word. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that we run a pub. We noticed very early on that if the full moon occurred at the weekend then we were much more likely to have trouble in the bar. I don't mean drunken bastardry of our sort, I mean real trouble.
I was talking about this to a friend who worked in a casualty dept. in Birmingham. She said that Full Moons were always marked on the calendar and extra supplies of blood were ordered as there was a marked increase in domestic violence, casualties from assaults, car accidents involving drunkenness etc. I myself am affected and so is brother Rab but not (thankfully) in any of these ways. I become restless and unpredictable. I definitely drink more and can't sleep. I usually end up staying up all night.
At first I didn't realise that I was affected. I thought that knowing the full moon was coming put me on an adrenalin trip at the thought of the increased chance of having to throw out drunks who were intent on sticking a glass in me. I t was only 4 years ago when we bought this little place in the countryside that I realised. Reason being that we have very little trouble out here. We don't bother to notice whether or not a full moon is coming up or not but we always know anyway because Mrs Riddler can tell by my behavior. That story about our local wannabee hard man was absolutely true and happened on Friday which was the full moon. Actually it wasn't completely true because we didn't really throw him over the waterfall, I just lied about that. It was suggested though. I bought all the lads in the bar a pint for showing restraint and not doing it.
Do you suffer from Lycanthropy?Sorry I never replied to your Lycanthropy post. Our server is absolutely crap and we only get half the news. I found it much later on Deja news and it was too late by then. No, I don't have Lycanthropy. I have the opposite, my hair and teeth are falling out ! Full moon or not.
