Over the last couple of weeks, I have truly grown to appreciate the spectacle that is Manhattan. There is this thing with the battery conspiracy afoot, but aside from that it's pretty damn great.
In addition to the great variety of DBs to be found in the near vicinity, and all the Chino Latino restaurants within walking distance, there is just so much to the place. The trains rock - (somewhat) reliable, cheap transportation that gets you anywhere for next to nothing. Fabulous women (although I still can't get a date). And now, the best yet!
The other night as I was heading to Nippleboy's, I went by the corner store to find some drinking supplies that were requested. As I was looking for the tonic water I stumbled across a top shelf of cider. Now it was a little depressing as it was way up on the top shelf and a bit difficult to get to as it was behind a counter. The bottles were dusty, too. But what a supply!
But for the good part - I went back today to pick up a sandwich at the deli and low and behold - cider galore! Not only the aforementioned dusty shelf of 40s, but the whole end of the deli counter. Even Woodchuck Amber (although they're only 12s)! Woohoo!
I love NYC!
