It has an incredible cast -- Faye Dunaway, Dianne Wiest, Richard Lewis -- that comedian -- he's unbelievable in a serious role -- Spalding Gray, and that new actress, Parker Posey -- Amanda Plummer -- remember "Honey Bunny" in "Pulp Fiction"? It shows a really intense meeting -- the whole movie is like being at a meeting.
Please see the Web Site. The film will air on Monday March 3, 1997
Some comments (actual quotes from people at press screenings):
"I give it a thumbs up across the board. I loved the acting, the topic, the story, the directing and the New York backdrop."David Lovvorn"I loved the performances of Richard Lewis, Faye Dunaway and Parker Posey. I think it's about time a movie about AA was made."

Who in their right mind wants to watch two hours of ex-drunks whine about how they fucked up their lives but they've got it back together now, blah blah blah.[snip some crap]
There's gotta be some kind of violation of the truth in advertising law here, too. Calling a movie about an AA meeting "Drunks"?!?!?! That's like making a movie about a nunnery and calling it "Sluts." I shudder to think of the rioting that's sure to break out nationwide as booze-addled DBs wander into theaters expecting to see an uplifting, life-affirming paean to grog guzzling, only to be smacked across the head with an AA 2x4.
At least we were warned.
