Top Five Racks

When it comes to packing your gear around in a Jeep, exterior rack systems are about the only option you may have. The problem lies in how most rack systems, whether they are above the tire carrier or over the top, attach to your vehicle. The tendency is to drill holes into the body structure then bolt the system to the truck. This results in permanent damage to the vehicle—if you ever want to sell the vehicle without the rack, the holes will be very visible. The Top Five Rack addresses several of these concerns. First the 'over-the-roof rack system' attaches to existing mounting points on the vehicle. The rear supports attach to the bumper mounts, while the front of the rack attaches to the window frame bolts. Rubber stabilizing blocks sit tight against the body, reducing the shake found in some rack systems. Its large payload capacity provides you with the versatility to load just about anything on top.

The second concern addressed is removal of the soft or hard tops. The Top Five Rack system allows the removal of both styles of tops without removing the rack system itself, while allowing full load capacity with the roofs removed. Simple bow ends are supplied for soft-top equipped Jeeps to aid in easy removal.

The rack system is also completely Thule-compatible, so all your favorite attachments from bike carriers to ski boxes, will fit right on. Top Five Racks are also developing their own accessory line with carrying racks and other great additions for the system.
