Good value flint striker. Definitely not the best quality out there however the price is certainly right. Grab a couple and throw them in various bags, glove box, etc.
I have read several negative reviews regarding the included striker. Throw away the striker it is useless. The spine of my knife throws amazing showers of sparks with this rod. Tinder preparation is absolutely critical. I watch people on YouTube destroying their rod striking it over and over trying to light improperly prepared tinder. Using the Coghlans flint striker and my knife I light my fire in one or two strikes every single time. I have lots of experience at this point but I started with none. Practice makes perfect.
