"I'm a Dead Man"

Date: 19 Sep 96

I've been doing pretty good lately. In fact, ever since I moved (August 1992), the Icemaker in the Amana has been disconnected, mainly because I've been too fricking lazy to hook the damn thing up.

And, even though I've had the Manitowoc Series 200 commercial ice machine, I never really run the thing, except when we have a party.

This means that I been making Ice the Old Fashioned Way. In trays, fillem up, spill half the fucker on the way to the freezer, which is a good 10 yards from the sink. (Big kitchen.) This means that Ice is usually a precious commodity, and forces me to consume drinks which are not mixed (i.e., those which use Ice as an ingredient), other than sparingly.

Until now.

I hooked up the NEW Ice Machine. It's a Manitowoc Series 800, on top of a Series 700 Bin. It max. specs. at 840 lbs. a day. The bin holds 700+ lbs. I started it up at 4:00 p.m. yesterday. It was FULL at 6:00 p.m. tonight. I'm on my third Beam and Coke. It's 7:35. I'm down to my last 699+ lbs. of ice.

I'm a dead man. Bring on Oktoberfest.
