Coello Coello" Subject: List of refs on evolutionary multiobjective optimization I have made available a list of references on evolutionary multi- objective optimization (EMOO) at: http://www.lania.mx/~ccoello/EMOO/EMOObib.html If you want to add or correct any items to this list, please send your information (in BibTeX or ASCII format) to: ccoello@xalapa.lania.mx We wish to collect references to technical reports, conference and journal papers, thesis and all sorts of publications about EMOO. It would be also desirable to have links to these papers in case they are available in electronic format. Therefore, if you are willing to provide links to your papers, please send them or the papers (in postscript) by e-mail. In the future, we plan to add information about public domain software and any other related information (e.g., conferences with special tracks on EMOO, people working on EMOO, etc.), but we will need your help to gather the necessary information. -- Dr. Carlos A. The full ad can be found at http://www.cs.umsl.edu/CS_position.html. Even though there are no explicit preferences on research areas, I personally hope that someone with interest in evolutionary computation, AI, and/or software developmentmay decides to apply. If so, you may contact me directly for more information. Thank you. Sincerely, Cezary Z. Group and individual research projects. Computer laboratory. Students are expected to attend the full four weeks. No tuition. The first week of the school will consist of toolkit courses and lectures to acquaint students with some of the theoretical tools they will need for research in complex systems. During each of the second, third, and fourth weeks there will be lecture courses with lectures in the morning followed by selected seminars in the afternoons. There will also be time for students to work on projects and to self-organize into working groups on particular topics. The second and third week courses will each be five days; the fourth week's courses will be three days. Thursday and Friday on the final week will be devoted to student project presentations. Students will present their work in small groups, and a few projects will be chosen for plenary presentations at SFI. The workshop will bring together a group of advanced graduate students and a small faculty for an intensive two week study of computational economics. The workshop will consist of lectures by faculty, special topic seminars by members of the Santa Fe Institute, and presentations of work in progress by graduate student participants. The primary goal of the summer workshop is to assist graduate students pursuing research agendas which include a computational component. A significant portion of the workshop will be devoted to analyzing and improving research being conducted by the graduate student participants. To get a better idea about workshop activities and focus, please take a look at the 1995, 1996, and 1997, and 1998 workshop pages. Participation at the workshop will be limited to fifteen graduate students. Student travel (up to a reasonable limit), accommodations, and living expenses will be supported by the workshop. Sponsorship of this program is provided by Coopers & Lybrand, L.L.P. The application deadline is 9 April, 1999. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. Christine C.
